Saturn, January 10, 2011
With Jupiter being increasingly difficult to photograph, Saturn replaces it as the most interesting planetary object in the night.
Saturn can be seen in the morning just before sunrise in a high position. Although the seeing was not particularly good, we got this picture combining two shots from two different cameras. The luminance is done with the original QHY5 and the color with the QHY5V. Both images are 1000 frames stacked and then are combined in layers with the Gimp.
