M81 and M82
Despite the bad weather, we made some takes of this pair of galaxies in Ursa Major (M81 and M82). We continue adjusting and testing the observatory to get everything as automatic as possible. Today, we have managed to connect a GPS software to EQMOD (which controls the mount) to keep an accurate time. This is important to make Gotos with sufficient precision to be able to automatically shot multiple targets in one night. This photo consists on 19 takes of 600 seconds and Darks. Because we still don’t have Flats, we have darkened a little the background to keep out dust from the CCD.
Takes were calibrated with IP 3.75 and Gimp used to change a bit curves. QHY9 camera, ED80, UHC Astronomik filters. Semitransparent clouds all the time.
